Custom tile, bathroom, and basement renovations throughout Vaughan.
Vaughan homes tend to be newer and larger, with the kind of square footage that makes basement finishing and primary ensuite renovations the two most requested projects. Expectations here are high, and reasonably so — the finishes need to match the rest of the house.
Large homes also mean large tile areas, and large tile areas are where preparation shows. A 400 square foot open floor tiled in 24x48 porcelain is a flatness problem before it's a tiling problem.
On bigger open areas we self-level as standard rather than as an option. Over a long span, even minor variation in the substrate produces visible lippage between large tiles, and there is no fixing it after the fact. Getting the floor genuinely flat first is the least glamorous and most important part of the work.

Yes — full lower levels with bathrooms, wet bars, and separate spaces are regular work for us. Moisture management comes first, then framing, then finishes.
Self-levelling the substrate, mechanical levelling systems during installation, and a dry-fit layout plan before anything is set. On large spans that preparation is the difference between a flat floor and visible lippage.
